The Interview

In an interview between Chris Williams, Credit & Collections Manager of Southeast Toyota Finance, and Charles Gordon, VP, Enterprise Risk. Charles shares his experience of not only why he joined JM Family, but why he stays at JM Family.

The Experience

It all comes down to how we treat one another, and associates being the priority of everything we do. Charles has been with JM Family for 21 years, when he joined as a Manager, ITS in the JM&A Project Management Office

Chris: Charles, I’d really like for you to talk about your story, the experience, what it meant to you, and more importantly, how it relates back to our Value Driver “We are People Centered”?

Charles: There are several things that struck me when I came to work for JM Family that connected back to how I was raised, and how I was taught by my parents to treat people. Most people will tell you that I’m about the development of associes. I’m in tune with the people. Listening to what their challenges are, making sure that I can help them to get over those hurdles. Creating a sense of team and family within my teams where we cover for each other. I’m a big soccer fan. Soccer is a team sport where people cover for each other. We play a role, but if somebody falters in their role, we pick up for each other. We don’t jump all over them, we work as a team, and we encourage each other.
