The idea that each of us are accountable to that legacy and that accountability allows us to feel some sense of commitment to wanting to do what’s another key element of our culture, which is striving for excellence. So I would love for you to share with us about how we strive for excellence and some of the the ways that that has shown up for you.

Lynn Laquain: IT Strategy Analyst
So I’ve been very fortunate in many roles that I’ve worked in at the company – to work across the business units in a process Improvement role. And so when that happens it’s all about creating change and that can sometimes seem like a tough thing to do when our companies tend to already be incredibly successful. I walk into an office and I’m surrounded by accolades. There are plaques and Banners and awards of best month ever. Best quarter ever best year ever and you think to yourself, how am I about to reach a conversation with this individual about let’s do more what are some ways to improve and luckily I’ve been always met with people who’ve been hungry and eager and interested and curious about ways we can do things differently ways. We can do things better. Ways we can benefit our partners and our customers and our Associates and help them grow and succeed along the way.

So it’s always been a really amazing opportunity to sit down with the leader sit down with an Associate who’s got that curiosity and hunger to make things better. And whether it’s in a process Improvement role or the other ways that we’re we’re all working to improve our business areas or even just a few days ago. I was at a Hackathon and Associates were using all these new technologies to solve new business problems. We hadn’t really encountered yet and people were willing to stay up all night. Try really hard to make things work figure out how to work these things and this was all voluntary people interested and curious and hungry to be Innovative and to help provide solutions to the problems. We’re facing today.

When it’s interesting that you talk about this volunteerism that shows up and in Hackathon or some of these other experiences that we create for our Associates at our different locations, but that volunteerism really extends Beyond just our immediate associate community and goes into the actual communities that we live and work and if we think about it, that’s kind of critical to who we are to who much is given much is expected. And so we need to be a part of the communities that we live and work and we want to do that.
